Over 70 members and guests enjoyed a fantastic evening at Restaurante Rabelo, in Carvoeiro where SICG’s annual Presentation Dinner was held. With music provided by the renowned ‘Vitor’, many of those in attendance were soon making moves on the dance floor even before making their way towards ‘starters’ from the buffet. As a result, the stage was immediately set for a typically energetic, fun-filled SICG occasion.
Cheered by free flowing, festive refreshments, and fine food from a well-stocked buffet, the banter resonating across the spacious venue created an appropriate atmosphere for celebrating our annual presentations. Between food courses - and even during them - the dance floor came alive with many revellers determined to demonstrate that swinging gracefully was not restricted to the golf course. However, with desserts finally consumed, even the most energetic members and guests were compelled to settle down comfortably as the prize-giving feature of the evening commenced.
SICG Vice-Captain, Margot Huddleston, presented the 2022 awards to the various winners, and runners-up in attendance across a range of competitions, most of whom feature in the following roll of honour:
MENS ORDER OF MERIT

As illustrated in the accompanying photographs, all presentations were gratefully accepted by proud recipients, and who also undoubtedly appreciated the enthusiastic applause and whoops of delight from fellow members. To conclude the prize-giving, Margot then presented a special bouquet of flowers to Sue Hagland in recognition of the tremendous work and organisation by Sue to ensure that the 2022 Presentation Dinner was yet another highly memorable SICG occasion. The evening eventually concluded with yet more dancing, frivolity, and even bouts of community singing to further enhance the lyrics provided by Vitor. A perfect end to a perfect night, and everyone privileged to be in attendance was undoubtedly a winner!
